Modern Day Fairy Tales (teaser trailer)

Junebug will be heading into the studio in February 2010 to record their second studio album, "Modern Day Fairy Tales." Accompanying them will be cameras to capture the process and relay the band's thoughts. The results will be an album and a documentary to be released late spring or early summer 2010.

Junebug will record at Fur Seal

Junebug is glad to announce that we've finally got a plan. Yup, it's true. Junebug has figured something out and committed to it. After a few months of discussion and debate and after touring a few studios in the Twin Cities area and meeting lots of great folks, we have determined that the best fit for us at this time is Fur Seal Studio in Minneapolis. We're booked to record in mid-February and we are aiming (hopefully) for a late spring release of Modern Day Fairy Tales.

Modern Day will be comprised mostly of material from Junebug's back catalog, including "I'm a Bad Mamma Jamma (Who Works at Wendy's)," "Found My Boogie," and "Jumpstart My Rocket" among many other older tunes from the South Dakota days. The album is estimated to be roughly 15 or 16 tracks.

Look for Studio Diaries to be posted throughout the recording process on Tony's Studio Diaries Blog.
