It is with a heavy heart that I, Tony, personally announce the departure of Nick Wosika from Junebug.
Nick was an invaluable asset to our band, performing numerous behind-the-scenes actions, such as professional photography, studio and live show booking, poster/flyer design, promotion and initiative. Nick got his family involved on our most recent album, which included great contributions from his mother, niece and wife. He first played with Junebug in July 2008 and in the past two years he became a very good friend to my wife and me.
Nick was let go from Junebug this week based upon irreconcilable creative differences with some of the members of the band. It was not a decision made lightly and it was not entirely unanimous.
I want to personally thank Nick foremost for his friendship and for all his hard work and dedication these past two years. I want to thank Anna and Cooper, his wife and son, for their love and support. I also want to thank anyone and everyone that supported this band simply because Nick was part of it. We have enjoyed your support, and I understand if we no longer have you.
It's been fun, buddy. I'll miss you.
